How wretched is my heart –
Thus I tear it from my breast might that I unbreak it.
Incorrigible thing that you covet for the affections of another
yet your attentions unrequited have wrought not envy
but a demon within your own
- Self.

Geez Charles, that would make a nasty avatar. Is that Michael Jackson with the dagger? I swear there are puncture marks on his leg! You know I am not a big fan of poetry but you are dragging me in kicking and screaming!

Hi Charles, How are you? Love this poem it’s very well written. Jealousy is the evil that corrupts the fabric of society. It is true evil as you have depicted. Excellent job.
Thanks for your comments on Fear of life. That actually comes from personal experience of hiding away hoping that people wouldn’t notice me. I still don’[t even know what changed me expect for poetry and books that seem to wake me. It was then I realized how many others must feel the same. When I went on Twitter it was out of curiosity and saw people upset and seemingly very depressed so I started writing things to put a smile on their face. It was the trigger I needed, helping others helped me.

Lucky me that I found your blog.. Your compositions are some of the very best that I’ve ever gone through in blogland! Essentially different from the rest in the sense that you write in an unique, unwarped and pure “classical” style.. something which is quite rare to achieve and therefore, hardly seen anymore! And with such gracious flow of language, they’re masterpieces, every one of them!
